Dr. Scott is a biomedical scientist and engineer with twelve years of experience in biomedical device development, neuroimaging, and the study of human brain and retina function. Dr. Scott has work experience as a business consultant through the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles at the Saban Research Institute, a research scientist at Vasoptic Medical, an editor and project manager at Innovative Strategic Communications, and a postdoctoral fellow and collaborator at the National Institutes of Health. Now she is the founder and CEO at JuneBrain, a startup company to develop a telehealth eye-scanning device that allows clinicians to monitor patients with eye and brain diseases outside of the clinic. By making disease monitoring more accessible, JuneBrain aims to improve the quality of life of patients through early detection and treatment of disease. Dr. Scott has numerous health-related publications under her belt which we will discuss, and she is part of the NIH Women of Color Research Network and Stanford Entrepreneurs in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Scott’s life and career have been impacted by her perseverance and finding different, unique paths to reach her goals. She is both a scientist and patient with a rare neuromuscular disease which has forced her to achieve her goals in different ways than her peers. However, Dr. Scott states that she learned to think outside of the box, and this was wonderful because it gave her more freedom to be creative and innovative.
Dr. Scott received her PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Southern California, a Certificate in Technology Commercialization from USC's Marshall School of Business, completed a BS in Biomechanical Engineering at Stanford University, and studied computational neuroscience and artificial intelligence at the University of Oxford through Stanford's Overseas Studies Program.
Over a career spanning four decades Mr. Loschiavo combined innovation, implementation, and leadership to drive results. Grounded in a servant/teaching leadership approach, Mr. Loschiavo is experienced in General Management, Strategy, and Finance, with emphasis on the start-up and growth of companies and organizations. He is currently a director at Cenero, LLC, serves on the Board of Governors for Chester Valley Golf Club (Treasurer) and serves on the leadership council for Hopewell United Methodist Church.
Mr. Loschiavo retired from Drexel University in 2014, where he was Executive Director of Drexel’s Laurence A. Baiada Institute for Entrepreneurship, and clinical professor of management for Drexel’s LeBow College of Business. Under Mr. Loschiavo’s leadership the Institute catapulted Drexel University into being ranked a Top 10 university in entrepreneurship in the nation. In his role as clinical professor he received numerous distinguished faculty awards. His primary areas of focus were Strategic Management, Entrepreneurship and Leadership. Mr. Loschiavo also taught as an adjunct professor at both Temple University and Villanova University.
Previously, Mr. Loschiavo was founder and President of Cenero, LLC, and a founding member of TSS, a technology solutions company that grew to over 7,000 employees in five years. Mr. Loschiavo held various leadership positions over a 15-year career with IBM, where he had fiduciary responsibilities for a $1 billion profit center and management responsibilities for a 340-person organization.
Mr. Loschiavo has served on the Boards of LiveConnections.org as vice president of the board, Pennsylvania Economy League, as chair of finance and audit, Entrepreneurs Forum of Greater Philadelphia, The Enterprise Center, and PACT, where he was chair of the Education Outreach Committee. He was twice elected to Outstanding Young Men of America by the U. S. Jaycees and was nominated to be IBM White House Fellow.
Mr. Loschiavo has a B.S. and M.S. in Economics from the University of Kentucky, is a graduate of IBM’s Advanced Management School. He is an avid golfer and lifelong musician, and resides in West Chester, Pennsylvania.

Mr. Lakshumanan holds a Masters in Computer Science from Bharathiar University, India, and an Executive MBA from Drexel University, Philadelphia, United States; he fulfilled part of the MBA course work at Oxford University, United Kingdom.
Mr. Ganapathy, CFA has decades of experience in technology and personal finance and investment areas and he founded Samatva Wealth Management LLC, Registered Investment Advisor and provides independent fiduciary financial planning and investment advice to individuals, families and small businesses. Services include asset management, tax planning, retirement planning, financial planning, college savings plan for kids, real estate investments consulting, and estate planning consulting.
Mr. Ganapathy graduated with an MBA (finance) from Johns Hopkins University /Maryland and also holds a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. He worked as systems development director in Xerox corporation. He is a leading mentor in startup ignite DC and part of the board of advisor for the startups in the Washington area.
Ms. Shivani Chokshi has experience working with the government, international development organizations, and corporations dedicated to solving challenges in education and international development policy. Her experience includes managing multi-million dollar budgets and grants within public education, conducting human-centered design workshops, and utilizing data visualization to explain system processes for organizations like Chicago Public Schools, USAID, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Shivani holds a master’s in public policy from George Washington University. She now leads Impactionable, a social enterprise that helps people connect to jobs and funding opportunities in the social impact space.
